HedeDanmark reorganises its Forest Division
HedeDanmark’s forest division will now be split into two separate entities: a Danish division and an international division focusing on expansion outside Denmark.
On 1 October 2024, all business units under Hedeselskabet changed their name to Dalgas. This applies to HedeDanmark, HD 2412, HD NordicTrees, HD Silva, HD BioRec, HD Forest, HD Forest Germany, HD Seed, and HD LogSystems.
Forests and their beneficial effects on society will become even more significant in the coming years. Forests play a crucial role in the green transition by providing sustainable building materials, storing CO2, and offering habitats for numerous animal species.
As a result, HedeDanmark is reorganizing its forest division into two parts: a Danish division and an international division.

Morten Thorøe, Director Forest International
Morten Thorøe will become director of the new international forest division. With his experience managing HedeDanmark’s Baltic forestry operations, he brings an international perspective to forest management. Currently, HedeDanmark manages over 100,000 hectares of forest in Estonia, Lithuania, and Latvia through forest investments. The company has experienced increasing interest in these investments due to their low risk and an expected return rate of 5-6%
Morten Thorøe will also oversee HedeDanmark’s forestry operations in Germany, where the company entered a few years ago in the state of Brandenburg and has already secured several large forest owners as regular clients.
HedeDanmark is part of Hedeselskabet, which has been involved in forest management for over 150 years. The Danish forest division, with its vast experience, will support HedeDanmark’s international growth, which has accelerated in recent years and now warrants its own division.

Martin Bösselmann, Director Forest Denmark and Trading
In Denmark, Martin Bösselmann will now serve as the division director, overseeing HedeDanmark’s Danish forest operations. With 25 years of experience at HedeDanmark, Martin Bösselmann brings extensive expertise in forestry management. His responsibilities will include everything from forest management and timber trade to the development of natural forest areas.
By strengthening these two divisions, HedeDanmark aims to create Northern Europe’s largest and best forest management offering, providing professional management services to our clients both in Denmark and internationally.
From October 1st, HedeDanmark and all its subbrands will change their name to Dalgas.
