Your supplier for Christmas
The old tradition of bringing a tree into the living room at Christmas time is inviting nature to the holiday. Dalgas partners with nature when we carefully select trees based on our high standards of quality and responsibility. This ensures you a Christmas tree you can be proud to sell in your store.
Your supplier for Christmas
Extensive knowledge and experience, combined with our certifications, guarantee that we know what it takes to deliver a good product and what raw materials, growing location, and care mean for the tree’s colour, fullness, and needle retention.
Additionally, you get personal customer service from start to finish, where thoroughness, flexibility, and professionalism are the key words. With a strong support network, we guarantee the security of your delivery.
We ensure, among other things:
- Ongoing quality control of production areas
- Access to see and inspect your reserved batches well in advance of felling/clipping
- Correct sorting and labeling according to agreements
- Fresh deliveries, where processing begins as late as possible before delivery, considering that these are natural products with limited shelf life
Nordmann fir (Abies Nordmanniana)
Growing the popular Nordmann fir is one of our specialties, where the Danish coastal climate has proven to be optimal for cultivation. You get full, deep green, and very beautiful soft needles on your Christmas trees.
Cultivation takes place in cooperation with nature, so our products are optimised for responsibility – from the seed being planted to the tree standing with the customer.
3 varieties of Abies Nordmanniana
Private Label
With Private Label, you have the opportunity to put your mark on the Christmas trees with your own labels. This allows you to develop and create an independent profile when presenting and selling Christmas trees – whether you have a large supermarket, a local garden center, or a small stall at the local Christmas market.
Norway Spruce (Picea Abies)
In Denmark, Norway spruce has a reputation for being “the real Christmas tree.” The tree has a long history, and many people associate Norway spruce with traditions and nostalgia. With Norway spruce, you get Christmas trees that contribute to the traditional Christmas atmosphere with their dense branches, full appearance, and characteristic scent.
Norway spruce is very hardy, grows 1-2 years faster than Nordmann fir, and is often grown in places where Nordmann fir does not thrive.
Other species of Christmas trees
In addition to Nordmann fir and Norway spruce, we can also supply a wide range of other fir trees that can spread Christmas cheer.
- Noble Fir (Abies Procera)
- Fraser Fir (Abies Fraseri)
- Bornmulleriana (Abies Bornmulleriana)
- Blue Spruce (Picea Pungens)
- Various Pinus species, etc.
Potted Christmas trees
Would you like to offer your customers potted trees that can be used for decoration or planted in the garden after the Christmas season? Potted trees have become popular among consumers who want to reduce waste and enjoy the Christmas tree for a longer time.
At selected nurseries and Christmas tree producers in Europe, specialized staff are responsible for growing and caring for potted Nordmann fir. They ensure the growth and development of a healthy root system, so you or your customers can enjoy the tree for many years. Your customers get a beautiful and robust tree grown with responsibility and consideration for the climate.
Choose between blue spruce, Serbian spruce, Norway spruce, or other species delivered in nets and ready for decoration or planting in pots of 5 to 10 liters.
Decorative greenery
Dalgas’ decorative greenery consists of clipped decorative branches from specially established plantations in Denmark. Decorative greenery can be used for advent wreaths, decorations, bouquets, grave decorations, or similar.
We primarily offer branches of noble fir (Abies Procera) and Nordmann fir (Abies Nordmanniana), but we can also provide various colors of cypress, cryptomeria, pine, and more. Decorative greenery is clipped in the plantation and packed in 5-9 kilo bundles on pallets or loose on a truck.
