Wood chips
Dalgas is Denmark’s largest producer and supplier of wood chips for energy. If you have wood you want to sell as chips or are looking for a partner who can guarantee steady and reliable delivery, look no further. We can be involved at every step of your process and take nature into account along the way.
From forest to radiator
We have over 30 years of experience with wood chips and continuously develop the methods we use in chip production.
As a wood or chip supplier to Dalgas, you gain access to our extensive network of chip buyers across the country, including everything from heating plants and agriculture to businesses and institutions.
Documentation and settlement
When delivering wood chips, a number of documentation requirements must be met to ensure buyers receive sustainably produced chips. Therefore, we offer a range of solutions to help our suppliers prepare the necessary documentation.
Each truckload from your forest is registered immediately and online, ensuring you are paid for the entire delivered quantity.
Responsibly produced wood chips
We are responsible in everything we do. It is a choice we make as a company, where we monitor and document according to international standards – load by load.
- When thinning the forest, the remaining trees grow and cover the area
- New trees are planted when the old trees are felled
- We always consider natural values and cultural heritage when harvesting wood
- The energy consumption for harvesting and delivery constitutes only a very small part of the energy in the wood chips
In the countries and areas where we operate, we are mindful of the forests’ growth rate, ensuring that growth exceeds the amount harvested. This means there is more wood in the forests each year.
We also offer to spread the ash from the wood chips back into the forest, so the nutrients from the chips are utilised where the chips are produced. This closes the loop for the benefit of the forest’s growth and health.

Close, local collaboration
When you buy chips from Dalgas, you get close collaboration with the local operations manager who oversees the daily delivery of chips. This ensures you have a dedicated contact person who has a thorough understanding of the specific chip quality you need and the delivery conditions at each location.
As a customer of Dalgas, we offer to be a professional, reliable, and long-term supplier of chips.
Contact your local forester or operations manager to learn more about how you can buy chips from Dalgas or become our new supplier.
Stable delivery of wood chips
We know that the most important thing for our chip buyers is reliability of delivery. Dalgas manages large forest areas through long-term management agreements with forest owners and therefore has a large production of chips.
This is the foundation behind the reliability of delivery we offer our customers. We supplement our own production with purchases of chips from external partners.
