New Country Manager for HD Forest in Estonia
On the 21 August, Priit Põllumäe will start as the new country manager for HD Forest in Estonia.
On 1 October 2024, all business units under Hedeselskabet changed their name to Dalgas. This applies to HedeDanmark, HD 2412, HD NordicTrees, HD Silva, HD BioRec, HD Forest, HD Forest Germany, HD Seed, and HD LogSystems.
The position has been vacant since May 2024, when the previous long-term country manager left. HD Forest director, Morten Thorøe, is therefore happy to announce his new Country Manager:
- I am looking forward to welcoming Priit as our new Country Manager in Estonia where we have large ambitions on behalf of our clients. We are continuously working on optimizing the value of their investments into Estonian forestry to secure long term growth and return on our clients investment.
Priit has a PhD in forestry from the Estonian University of Life Sciences. During his academic career his research was focused on private forest ownership and forest policy. However, he has previously also been involved in both the private and public sector. For the past three years he has been working in the cooperative structures of Estonian private forestry.
"I’m thrilled to be a part of the big Hedeselskabet family with more than 150 years of experience developing forest services. More than half of Estonia is covered with forest and we have productive agricultural land. There is a huge potential in the bioeconomy and the professionalism and innovation in HD Forest can help to unlock this potential.
